Love animals and looking for a hands-on role in a busy, caring clinic? We’re looking for a part-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team and help keep things running smoothly for our patients and their people. 💙
You will help our clients sign in their pets for spay/neuter and answer any questions they may have about vaccines. Assistants also help with restraint when the vet examines or vaccinates them. Job duties include filing, cleaning cages, and preparing surgical and autoclave packs.
Daily duties may include getting urine samples, drawing blood, and filling/administering medication under the veterinarian’s instructions.
Some knowledge of animal care and handling is great, but not necessary.
High school diploma or veterinary assistant certification.
Will train on animal restraint techniques and cleaning protocols.
Clinic HQ and Petpoint Software are used here. Detail-oriented. Must be able to multitask. Walking pets to and from other areas in the weather. Lifting pets up to 100lbs with assistance, of course. Physically capable of standing for extended periods.
Part Time $15.00
Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (7:30 to 4:30) plus some Saturdays 7:00 am-12:00 pm
