Planned Giving

WHAT IS PLANNED GIVING?

Planned Giving is a mutually beneficial alternative to the outright giving of cash or other property. It allows AACSPCA supporters to make a difference well into the future while providing substantial tax and financial advantages to the donor.

Many people assume they have to be wealthy to make a significant impact on a charitable organization. To the contrary, planned giving creates opportunities for anyone who wants to make a difference.

It is important for you to make an appointment with an attorney or financial advisor. They can help answer any questions you may have as well as help develop a plan tailored to you.

Dear Friends of the SPCA of Anne Arundel County,

As you’ve read in the press or seen on the news, the number of cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

in the United States has drastically increased over the last few days. Without any signs of slowing — and with

the speed that the virus is spreading — we have modified our existing shelter visitation policies.

Our focus remains on the health and safety of our employees and volunteers who are vital to the care of all our

four-legged guests.

-Until at least Monday, March 30 to comply with the current executive order of the Governor's Office, our shelter is closed to the public. Select services have moved to appointment ONLY. There will be no exceptions made.

-This includes animal surrenders, new donation drop off, Spay and Neuter Clinic appointments, foster animal appointments or any other business. Animal  viewings and adoptions are not being offered at this time.

-We are only accepting donations of new supplies. Again, donation drop offs are by appointment only.

-This policy will allow us to honor the practice of "social distancing," keeping of at least 6' away from one another to help contain the spread of the virus.

We also urge all potential visitors to  consider postponing scheduling appointments at our shelter

if you are showing any symptoms of the virus. We will continue to closely monitor the outbreak of

COVID-19 and return to our existing policies as soon as we feel confident in our safety.

Don't worry, our staff will still be on hand  to take care of the shelter animals and give them lots of love & care.
