Part Time Veterinarian
The SPCA of Anne Arundel County is seeking a part time veterinarian. Duties include, but are not limited to spay and neuter surgeries,and assisting another staff doctor with maintaining the health of the shelter animals. Professional Dog Trainers
Dogs are surrendered to us for a variety of reasons, including unwanted canine behavior. Educating the public, about canine behavior, is one of the obvious solutions. The SPCA of Anne Arundel County strives to take advantage of opportunities to help bring understanding of dog behavior to humans, especially when transitioning into a forever home. Naturally, there are times when the input of external professional dog trainers is an important component in keeping a dog in a forever home. Veterinary Assistant
The SPCA of Anne Arundel County is seeking an veterinary assistant, with a minimum of one year of experience. Qualified applicants should have experience in handling companion animals, assisting in surgery, venipuncture and other medical procedures. Animal Caretaker (Cats)
The SPCA of Anne Arundel County is seeking enthusiastic team players who possess a strong work ethic. The caretaker will be responsible for the daily care and maintenance of the health and needs of shelter animals. Duties include daily cleaning, feeding, watering, socialization, and assisting customers who are interested in adopting a pet. In addition to the daily care of the animals, animal caretakers are also responsible for ensuring that common areas are cleaned and maintained.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Experience with vaccinations, venipuncture, and medication of animals. Possess computer skills. Must work well in a fast-paced, team environment. Experience in animal behavior a plus.
