As many of you know, the Feast of St Francis of Assisi is celebrated on October 4 each year. The feast commemorates the life of St Francis, who was born in the 12th century and is the Catholic Church’s patron saint of animals and the environment. As such, many churches gather to perform a Blessing of the Animals during this time. We encourage all those who are interested to come out with their pets and receive the blessing. We will be there with some of our adoptable animals to receive the blessing as well!
What: Blessing of the Animals
When: Saturday, October 6 at 3pm
Where: St. Christopher’s Cross Garden at 116 Marydell Road, Linthicum, MD
We will have a table set up to share information about our shelter and mission as well as to collect donations from our wish list. We truly appreciate your support.
