Oil Spill Dogs Rescued

Ten unfortunate victims of the giant oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico arrived at the SPCA today. Through no fault of their own, these dogs found themselves without a home. Some of the dogs were strays who were not claimed by an owner or were given up by their owners for financial reasons.  Other owners lost their jobs and couldn’t afford food and veterinary care. Some families had to move and were unable to take their dogs with them. We will care for all of them them and find them new, loving homes. Bree is still available for adoption.

UPDATE 7-18-2010: Justin, Barbara, Lassie, Shrimp, Zelfa, Nitro, and Willie have all found new homes.
